Genres :: The Good, The Bad and The Restless

Let's talk about genre!

My whole life I have been a pure-blooded fiend for romance novels. All I have written since I even knew what romance was is, well, romance! Many of you may know this already if you have been a long-time follower of me through Wattpad. I have had many, MANY, romance stories ongoing in the past, and it has only been in recent years that I have decided to branch out and try my hand at other genres, such as paranormal, fantasy, and even mystery.

I will forever be a lover of romance and it will be my number one go to always, but I do love delving deeply into other genres, mixing it up and enveloping new characters and worlds.

I write in two sub-genres, if you will, when it comes to romance.

YA Fluffy Romance

NA Spicy Romance

A lot of my earlier years of writing I spent on YA (Young Adult) stories. Fluffy, swoon-worthy, innocent stories. But now... I don't think I'm capable of writing a story without some spice. I need me some angst, some sexy, spicy scenes that will leave me panting for more. I can't even read a book without some spice these days.

And now that I am delving into fantasy and paranormal, I need that added spice as well.

I'm curious. Do you prefer romance with a little spice, or with none at all?

I've been playing around with some other themes and genres as well, pushing myself into Dark Romance a lot. I love me a bad boy, a brooding, hulky man. I am experiementing with anti-heroes and morally grey characters, too. As well as trying to involve more cinnamon roll characters and a range of others I cannot wait to show you guys.

What are your favourite male leads?

• Cinnamon roll, innocent, sweet men
• Brooding, hulking sullen men
• Anti-hero, brutal, 'touch her and I will end you' men
• Morally grey, no right, no wrong men

I want to include all of these archtypes in some of my stories in the future, but I'm interested to know what you guys love to read. My main goal as a writer is to provide you with stories you will adore, and a big part of that comes from the protagonists.

I'm also very interested in what genres you all prefer to read.
